ZVV Night network Zurich – night buses and night S-Bahn
On Friday and Saturday nights, special night lines run through Zurich city and the whole agglomeration until the early morning. Here you will find all night buses (N), night S-Bahns (SN) and night trams – including prices, network map and operating hours.
Night surcharge
For all rides on the ZVV night network (buses with N number, S-Bahn SN), you need a night surcharge of CHF 5.00 per ride on top of your regular ticket. Day and monthly passes are valid with the surcharge. GA travelers also need the night surcharge.

The night network runs on Friday-to-Saturday and Saturday-to-Sunday nights. Lines start around 01:00 after the regular S-Bahn and trams stop, and run roughly hourly or every two hours until about 04:00–05:00. Some night S-Bahn lines run every night.

When does the ZVV night network run?
Only on Friday-to-Saturday and Saturday-to-Sunday nights, approximately 01:00 to 05:00. Some SN lines run every night.
How much is the night surcharge?
CHF 5.00 per ride, on top of the regular ticket (even with a GA).
Which night buses depart from Zurich HB?
Many N-lines (N1, N2, N4, N10 etc.) depart from Zurich HB in all directions. Check the ZVV schedule for exact departures.
Are day passes valid on the night network?
Yes, day passes and monthly subscriptions remain valid, but you need the additional night surcharge of CHF 5.00.
Is there a night S-Bahn to the airport?
Yes, SN lines serve the airport on Fri/Sat and Sat/Sun nights. The regular S-Bahn resumes around 04:30.
